Here is a short artistic movie: the story of a vampire. A young soldier executed by Vlad Dracula in Făgăraş, after being accused of pillage and rape, swears revenge. So he comes back from time to time under the form of a young kid.

Impalement Techniques
Here is a short movie of Massimo Polidoro, presenting the medieval armor in Wallachia and Vlad Dracula's impalement techniques and the psychological effect of the view of impaled people. This is a short sequence from a documentary he co-hosted for Dicovery Channel.
To make a distinction between the real and the fictional Dracula Polidoro uses Vlad Țepeș to refer to Vlad III and Dracula to refer to Bram Stoker's character.
Seems really good documented, I would like to see the full documentary:

Vlad Tepes 1979
From the Movie "Vlad Tepes", Romania 1979 :
Vlad Dracula attacks the ottoman army by night, on on June 17th, 1462, in an attempt to kill Mehmed. Only missing the Mehmed's tent makes the action fail.

I found a very rare movie on youtube: Vlad Tepes - 1979 (Romaniafilm), directed by Doru Nastase. It has a good mark of 7.8/10.0 and it seems a good movie to me ( I enjoy history and historic movies, so I have seen quite a few):

There are a lot of documentary movies about Dracula, both amateur video as well as professional ones.
Movies about Vlad Dracula's life
1. an amateur five minutes video describing Dracula's History.
2. After following the first video here is a proffesional documentary, emphasizing more the myth part of the story around Vlad Ţepeş (Vlad the Impaler), somehow normal considering this is a commercial movie. However I didn't find big errors in the movie, my comments are inside the post.

movie about Dracula. "Dark Prince - The Truth About Dracula"
The final part of the movie Dark Prince. The Truth about Dracula presents Vlad fighting his brother Radu in Snagov monastery and initially defeating him. However Radu is not alone and the guards help him.
His father-in-low Aron as well as Father Stefan are all there. He is considered Antichrist for fighting his own people and his own religion, however he explains he did never fight God! Betrayed by father Stefan, that Dracula accused has killed his father Vlad Dracul, he finally gets killed by Radu, his own brother. Here I have to mention the movie is fara away from the historic truth, most evidence presents Vlad Dracula's death as on the battlefield, somewhere in the southern part of Bucharest (I'll post more especially about this as it seems to be a lot of controversial about the death of Vlad III Dracula - the place as well as the way he died.
Father Stefan dies by heart attack when he meets Dracula's phantom, the doomed spirit rest undead for etenity:

The novel of Bram Stoker, "Dracula" has really become famous after it has been translated into the movie with the same name. Or...movies with the same name ?
Well, let's try to present them in a chronological order, starting with the masterpiece of 1931.
The first official Dracula movie
has been made in 1931, featuring the Hungarian actor Bela Lugosi as Dracula and Dwight Frye, a great American actor. (Few years before there was another German movie, but it went underground.)
The movie has a very good IMDB (Internet Movie Data-Base) mark, 7.7/10 (after almost 7000 votes).
On the trailer of the 1931 movie we can read: "In all the annals of living horror one name stands out as the epitome of EVIL ! DRACULA! ". Here is the trailer of the 1931 Dracula movie.

Dracula Has Risen from The Grave
As imdb states the release date in USA was 6 February 1969. The IMDB mark 6.2/10 denotes a sensible difference from the 1931 movie. In fact it did not reach the fame of the first official dracula movie. However, I present it here, there are some nice scenes that deserve a look:

With an IMDB mark of only 5.3/10 the movie seem to has had less success than the versions of 1931 and 1977, despite being directed by Alan Gibson and having a cast as Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing

The guy who posted this considered the 1977 version "Easily the best version of Dracula filmed to date" and in fact it has the biggest IMDB mark. However I don't know if I like more this one or the 1931 Dracula version, feat. Bela Lugosi.

The movie is rated 7.1/10 on imdb (by more than 30 000 voters). This is a good mark and the difference from the 1931 movie's mark also reflect my opinion, I like the old one more !

Dracula's Curse
This seems to be the worst Dracula movie of all times (at least according to imdb rating: 1,8/10). However I added it to the media library, as the intention is to present all Dracula movies and see the evolution from the 1931 movie to the nowadays ones.
This ammateur french movie tells the story of a soldier hanged during Dracula's regime. Well, one could easily reply that Dracula was not ruling Făgăraş , where they say the soldier has been hanged, but the movie is quite interesting.

Maybe is also the sound-track that makes me love the black and white old movies. the Vesta's only survivor after a terrible storm is a man considered a maniac. kept under observation.
